Family Hack of the Week

This Cranberry Nut Loaf from Allrecipes is an easy bake that perfectly captures the flavors of fall. This delicious recipe makes 10 servings.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Add 1 cup chopped cranberries and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, stirring until the fruit and nuts are evenly coated in the flour mixture.

In a separate bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup orange juice, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon orange zest until well combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the flour mixture and stir just until blended.

Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
