Family Hack of the Week

It’s National Cookie Month, and these Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Chip Cookies from Food Network are a perfect fall treat. Easy to make and full of seasonal flavor, this recipe makes 24 cookies.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk together 21/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice, and 1/2 teaspoon each of baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk 2 sticks of melted (and cooled) butter with 2 eggs, 3/4 cup each of granulated and brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until smooth. Stir in the dry ingredients with a wooden spoon, then fold in 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips.

Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 16 to 18 minutes, until the cookies are golden.
